Former Kogi West senator Smart Adeyemi, Senator Ahmed Ogembe and Natasha Akpoti have filed petitions against the results of the February 23 National Assembly elections in Kogi.
This was confirmed on Thursday by the Secretary of the Kogi State Election Petition Tribunal, Aisha Mana.
While Adeyemi contested on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Akpoti was the candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the Kogi Central senatorial poll, and Ogembe, the current occupant of the Kogi Central seat, ran for re-election with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
It was learned that the petitions by the aforementioned candidates were among the 10 received by the tribunal.
Adeyemi lost to his closest rival, Senator Dino Melaye in Kogi West, while Natasha and Ogembe lost to Yakubu Oseni of APC.
No date has been fixed for the hearing of the petitions
