Adesanya who was born in Lagos, Nigeria, before moving to Oceania aged 13 bemoans a sort of attack alien to New Zealand. He shared a chat on his verified social media handle and writes:

“15th March 2019… Normally these terrorist attacks are known to happen overseas (‘Murica) so you never really pay it no mind cuz “NZ isn’t as bad with racism”. But it happened here in New Zealand and we have to make sure that we stay staunch together…🕌 This is our home xoxo””

Bush say four people were taken into custody – three men and one woman. Police do not believe there are any other suspects but say it was still an open investigation. A man in his late 20s has been charged with murder and will appear at the Christchurch court Saturday morning local time, Bush states.

Leaders from across the world including Pope Francis and Donald Trump have condemned the fatal shootings.
