Portuguese international Bernardo Silva has committed his future to Manchester City after signing a contract extension that will keep him at the club till 2025.
Silva joined the Citizens in the summer of 2017 and has become an important figure and an integral member of the Pep Guardiola’s squad.
The 24-year-old who already made 93 appearances said he his happy playing for the club as he determined to stay long to win more laurels with the team.
He said the club offers conducive and convenient ambience for player’s growth with the opportunity winning trophies.
According to two him, the club style of play excites him and he could not turn down the offer when the offers him the contract extension.
“It’s an honour to extend my deal with Manchester City,” Bernardo said. “This Club offers everything a player needs to fulfil their ambitions and there’s nowhere else I want to be.
“As soon as I heard City wanted me to stay longer, my mind was made up. I love the Club, the manager, the players and the fans.
“The style of football we play here excites me, and I am determined to win more trophies. City gives me the best chance of doing that.” He said.
The club director of football Txiki Begiristain on his on part laud Silva exceptional performances on the field of play.
