According to reports, there has been vandalisation of the governor’s billboard and banners all across the state after the governor’s son-in-law, Uche Nwosu, lost the governorship election to PDP’s  Emeka Ihedioha.

However, Nwosu rejected the poll result as he vowed to challenge it in court.

Okorocha did not only lose in Imo by virtue of Nwosu’s defeat. The governor’s chances of representing Imo West in Nigeria’s ninth assembly hangs by a thread.

This is so because Nigeria’s electoral umpire, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), omitted Okorocha’s name from its list of newly-elected Senators.

INEC published the list ahead of the presentation of the Certificates of Return on Thursday, with the remark for Imo West “Declaration made under duress.”
