The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ben Ayade has win the governorship election in Cross Rivers State held on Saturday.
Ayade, Concise News understands, is the incumbent leader of Cross Rivers State and was announced as the winner of the polls on Monday.
According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (Inec), Ayade had 381,484 and also won all 18 local government areas of the state.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) polled 131,161 with the candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Eyo Ekpo having 4, 818 votes.
A breakdown of the voters and number of votes during the exercise showed that 1,486,026 registered.
Also, the number of accredited voters stood at 542,115, valid votes 522, 309, rejected votes 11,499 and votes cast 533,808.
