Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has said he is unaware of Victor Moses’ decision to return to the team ahead of the 2019 African Cup of Nations.
Moses last year retired from the team after playing at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Although there have been reports that the Chelsea man might return to the side ahead of the competition in the summer in Egypt, Rohr has said he is not aware of such.
“I was against his international retirement and, if he changed his mind, he must tell me but I have no information about it,” he told Caf Online. “We’ll see.”
Also, he revealed why he dropped Mikel Obi from the team that will play Egypt and Seychelles later this month.
According to him, “He (Mikel) has arrived in Middlesbrough recently. He told me he was not ready and needs to work after his knee injury in China.
“He did not play all winter either. He was not ruled out for the AFCON but could not make that match in Asaba. We will see for the future.”
