The Nigeria Army has announced the arrest of not less than 8 suspects, who allegedly disrupted last Saturday’s presidential and the National Assembly election in Rivers State.
The army spokesman of the 6 division of the Nigerian army, Sagir Musa, said the suspects were Paraded on Tuesday in Port Harcourt and the suspects confessed to being working for Nyesom Wike, governor of Rivers state.
Musa said they had disguised as a staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and tampered with electoral materials.
Also, he said the army has information of recorded phone conversations between the suspects and the governor.
The suspects were paraded before journalists at the division headquarters.
They were later taken out to where the army said a “car of Rivers state of government which they used” in their operation was parked.
