Unidentified political thugs have reportedly disenfranchised the electorates who came out to exercise their civic right at Ohafia street, Ago Palace Isolo local government area of Lagos state on Saturday.
It was said that suspected hoodlums carted away electoral materials and set ablaze thumb printed ballot papers distance from the polling centre.
The incident sparked tension, forcing some people who indicated interest in voting to leave the polling unit.
Not done with the act, the suspects reportedly proceeded to nearby voting stations to smash ballot boxes and chase away voters.
Concise News gathered that the security personnel that were available at the polling centre could not stop the suspected thugs said to be working for one of the two leading parties. A witness said after disrupting the exercise, the thugs fled the area in buses and motorcycles.
There were also reports of violence in the Aguda part of Surulere, still in Lagos.
