Kanu who is in London had called for a boycott of the 2019 elections in the Southeast but later a u-turn.

He had earlier alleged that Buhari will be “chased out” during the presidential election during a recent broadcast on Radio Biafra.

While advising Igbos on whom to vote as Nigeria’s president, Kanu in a tweet urged them to vote against the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Buhari.

According to him, Buhari and his “cabal” killed many “Biafrans” and thus Igbos should use the election as a punishment to him.

“Now that #IPOB has lifted the #boycott I ask every Biafran to know that his/her vote today is a plebiscite on the restoration of Biafra, the punishing of those responsible for killing Biafrans, and the rejection of Jibril and the Cabal, the axis of evil that has seized the Zoo,” he tweeted on Saturday.
