INEC Records 72.7 Million Nigerians Have Collected PVCs

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says the total number of Nigerians recorded to have collected their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) is 72,775,502.

INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, announced the total figure of PVCs collected during his daily briefing on the commission’s readiness for the polls on Thursday in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

The number of PVCs collected represents 86.36 percent of the 84,004,084 Nigerians that registered to vote.

According to INEC, 11,228,582 PVCs were yet to be collected for the polls.

The commission also released the statistics of the total number of registered voters and collected PVCs against the 2019 general elections.
