The team played out a 1-1 draw against the strong North Africa side in the second fixtures of the Caf Conferedation Cup group stage.

Enugu Rangers will take on Etoile du Sahel in their third CAF Confederation Cup group game on Feb. 24 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium.
Chukwu said what Rangers needed now was on how to come top in the group matches because both teams stood the chance of going beyond the group stage.
”We are all happy that the team was able to pull a draw and not losing. It is a good outing.
”The group is still open so we are not going to give up or start neglecting other teams in the group because we pull a draw against CS Sfaxien.
”Rangers prepares for every match as it comes because all the teams stand the chance of making it beyond the group stages.
”Our aim is to be the champions of each tournament we ventured into and this is just the beginning because we still have a lot of matches to play,” he said.
The Technical Director noted that the club learnt its lesson from its 2013 ouster by Sfaxien.
According to Chukwu, 2013 has come and gone and the team is not afraid of any team because it has all it takes to succeed.
The club’s Media Officer Norbert Okolie said that the result against Sfaxien was a good one for the club.
He noted that the club under the management of Davison Owumi would leave no room for a poor outing.
” It is not a bad idea if we end up winning the Confederation Cup for the first time in the history of the country and the club,” Norbert said.
