The Independent National Electoral Commission on Monday released photos of sample ballot boxes that would be used for the 2019 General elections. The ballot boxes are in different colours, with the descriptions of the offices to be voted.

2. Court Sacks APC Guber Candidate In Cross River John Owan-Enoh

The All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Cross River State, Senator John Owan-Enoh and other candidates of the party currently recognised by the Independent National Electoral Commission, were on Monday sacked by a Federal High Court sitting in Calabar. In a two-hour judgment delivered by Hon Justice Simon Amobeda, he ordered that “INEC should only receive and accept the names and candidates for the 2019 elections that emerged from the lawful executive led by Godwin Etim John.”

3. Again, NJC Queries Onnoghen, Insists On Immediate Response

Suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen, has been issued a fresh query by the National Judicial Council (NJC). The query was served by the NJC on Monday as it asked Onnoghen to respond within seven working days.

4. PMB In Ogun: Political Thugs Disrupt APC Presidential Rally In Abeokuta (Video)

The All Progressives Congress presidential campaign rally held today, Monday, February 11, at the MKO Abiola International Stadium, Abeokuta was disrupted by political thugs said to be of the opposition party. Some thugs believed to be supporters of Allied People’s Movement, APM, allegedly caused chaos as they rejected the APC governorship flag bearer, Prince Dapo Abiodun in the state.

5. Clinton Cancels Visit To Nigeria, Gives Reason

Former US President Bill Clinton has canceled his proposed trip to Nigeria ahead of Saturday’s general elections. According to CNN, Clinton said the visit could be “politicised.”

8. 2019 Election: Saraki Replies Tinubu, Other APC Chieftains

President of the Senate, Abubakar Bukola Saraki has said the insults rained on him in Ilorin by former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole and Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, were expression of their frustration over the imminent loss of their party in next Saturday election. Saraki in a statement signed by his Special Adviser (Media and Publicity), Yusuph Olaniyonu, stated that the APC leaders know that their party will definitely lose the presidential and National Assembly elections on February 16, and that was why in their desperate mood they were only hurling abuses instead of discussing issues and telling the people what they will do for them.

9. Nigerians Have Rejected You, PDP Mocks Buhari Over Ogun Campaign

The Peoples Democratic Party, on Monday, reacted to the violence that broke out at the All Progressives Congress rally in Ogun State, saying that it is a sign of rejection of President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration by Nigerians. The opposition party in a veiled reference to the TraderMoni Scheme, noted that Nigerians could not be bought with N10,000, hence the violence unleashed at the Abeokuta, Ogun State presidential rally on Monday.

10. Tragedy Hits Nigerian Football As Ex-NFF Scribe Taiwo Ogunjobi Dies

Former Nigeria international and ex-General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Taiwo Ogunjobi has reportedly died. The death of the former Shooting Stars captain and Osun state FA Chairman was confirmed by the country’s football house on their Twitter handle.
