Fédération Internationale de Football Association (Fifa), Union of European Football Associations (Uefa), as well as the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), have all celebrated retired Nigerian footballer Julius Efosa Aghahowa on his birthday.
Aghahowa, who made a name for himself in Ukraine with Shakhtar Donetsk, clocked 37 on Tuesday, February 12. The Edo-born former Eagles marksman also played in England for Wigan.
Best known for his back-flips goal celebration, Aghahowa was celebrated by Uefa through the body’s official Twitter handle.
Is this the best celebration the #UCL has ever seen?

Aghahowa scored Nigeria’s sole goal (against Sweden) at the Fifa World Cup held in South Korea and Japan in 2002.
Fifa recalls that moment.
“A great header An even better celebration
@NGSuperEagles‘ Julius Aghahowa, the man responsible for these 2002 #WorldCup acrobatics, turns 37 today. What do you think is the best #WorldCup goal celebration of all time?” Switzerland-based body tweeted.

The NFF were not left out. They also remembered the man also called ‘Agha-WONDER’.
“Happy birthday to former
@NGSuperEagles forward, Julius Aghahowa. Thank you for the memories. What other adjectives were used to describe Aghahowa back then? like Agha-WONDER!? Share with us on his day,” the football body wrote.

At the twilight of his career, Aghahowa declared a great desire to play for his old club, Shakhtar. However, he could not find himself as a regular starter and was loaned out to PFC Sevastopol at the beginning of the 2010–11 season.
He was released at the end of the 2011-12 season, announcing his retirement from the game in April 2013.
