A former militant leader Asari Dokubo has pounced on the leader of the outlawed Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu over his calls for the boycott of the 2019 elections.

Kanu who is in London after spending about a year in Israel has called on Igbos to boycott elections in Nigeria.

He has, however, fixed the “Biafran” referendum for February 16, the same day as the presidential election.

But Dokubo believes such move by the secessionist group is uncalled for, claiming that Kanu is deceiving IPOB members.

In a series of video on social media, he alleged that Kanu is collecting money from politicians while deceiving his followers.

According to him, by boycotting the elections, IPOB would have lost an opportunity to ”pay President Buhari back for the death of all their members killed since this administration came into office’.”
