Senegal have booked a place at the 2019 World Youth Championship in Poland after they saw off Ghana 2-0 on Wednesday in the U-20 African Cup of Nations.
Both teams headed in the game after winning their first matches but the Young Lions of Teranga emerged winners after taking advantage of Ghana’s poor defending.
Aliou Badji bagged both goals for the West Africans with the first coming via a header in the 11th minute.
And on the 45th minute, he made it two after he shot past Ghana goalkeeper Manaf Nurudeen.
The victory means Senegal have now qualified for the U-20 World Cup holding later this year in Poland.
Ghana must now win their third Group B clash against Mali who are on the same point with them.
Mali defeated Burkina Faso one-nil in the other group tie.
