Ariana Grande To Boycott Grammys After Disagreements With Producers

American singer/songwriter, Ariana Grande has reportedly pulled out of performing at the 2019 Grammy Awards ceremony after clashing with the show’s producers.

The 25-year old pop star reportedly had a disagreement with Grammy producers over what song she would perform during the show, according to Variety. She felt, ‘insulted’ after Grammy producers wouldn’t let her perform her new song, 7 Rings from the upcoming album Thank U, Next.

She is nominated in two major Grammy categories, including Best Pop Vocal Performance for “God is a Woman” and Best Pop Vocal Album for Sweetener.

The 61st Grammys awards will take place on Sunday, 10 February at STAPLES Center, Los Angeles, California, United States.

One source also claimed that stipulations were not placed on other performers at the show.

Ariana began her career in 2008 in the Broadway musical 13, before playing the role of Cat Valentinein the Nickelodeon television series Victorious from 2010 to 2013, and in the spinoff Sam & Cat from 2013 to 2014.

She made her first musical appearance on the soundtrack for Victorious and was signed to Republic Records in 2011 after music executive Monte Lipman came across one of her YouTube videos covering songs.
