Dr Maikanti Kachalla Baru, Group Managing Director, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) was on hand to assist the president with the inauguration.

At the campaign held at the Pantami Stadium, the immediate past Director General of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) campaign organisation in Gombe State, Bala Tinka was received.

Tinka formally joins the APC, alongside some others during the event.

Expectedly, Tinka backed President Buhari’s re-election bid.

As in Kogi, Sokoto and Kano states, the crowd seen at the campaign ground in Gombe was intimidating.

At Gombe, Buhari visited some important stakeholders like the Emirate Council among others.

Meanwhile, Bashir Ahmad, President Buhari’s Personal Assistant on new media met with the decampee, Mr Tinka at the venue of the campaign.

Ahmad writes on his verified social media handle:

“Hello Gombe, we are here, with former DG of PDP Campaign who recently decamped to APC, for the our Presidential Campaign Rally, come and join us at the Pantami Stadium as the message will be delivered by President . Let’s do it together Gombawa!

Tinka is a well-known grassroots mobilizer whose door-to-door campaign was very helpful for Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo. He is a popular figure in the North-Eastern state.
