Nigeria’s Flying Eagles are now in Niamey, Niger for the U-20 African Cup of Nations billed to start on Saturday.

Concise News understands that the Eagles got to the Nigerien capital on Thursday as they seek to win the crown for the eighth time.

The team will battle it out with Burundi, South Africa, and hosts, Niger Republic in Group A of the competition.

Nigeria’s first clash will be with Burundi on Sunday before they will not take on rivals South Africa in their second game.

In the third match, the West Africans tackle Niger. The Nigerians did not take part in the last edition in Zambia in 2017.

The 2019 U-20 begins on Saturday with Senegal, Mali, Burkina Faso, and Ghana in Group B of the youth tournament.

All four semi-finalists will represent Africa at the Fifa U-20 World Cup which will hold later in the year in Poland.
