Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is not in the good books of the club’s board as they are not happy with his treatment of his players.
Concise News understands that Sarri criticized his players in the public after their 4-0 mauling by Bournemouth in a Premier League clash on Wednesday.
The defeat was the club’s heaviest since in 23 years with reports of the board’s unhappiness with the Italian gaffer sure to compound his woes.
Chelsea have dropped form and are at risk of missing out on a top-four finish in the Premier League.
However, the Times UK reports that the Blues’ boss will give Sarri time to change the tide of things at the Stamford Bridge.
Following Wednesday’s defeat, Sarri claimed his players had not even learned the basics of his style of play.
“We are struggling, above all mentally,” the manager added.
“We had assumed that we learned a certain style of football, but the truth is we never did learn it and are paying the consequences.”
