Concise News understands that Ganduje was, in 2018, embroiled in a money-for-contract scam.

An online news medium, Daily Nigerian had released some videos where the governor was seen allegedly taking money from contractors handling projects in the state.

On the issue of corruption charges against Ganduje, Buhari said Ganduje enjoys immunity from prosecution in his own right and is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

And reacting Ganduje’s endorsement by the President, Fayose described Buhari as the ‘grandfather of Corruption Family of Nigeria celebrating the exploits of one of his children. “

He also condemned the appearance of Niger Republic Governors at the rally.

Fayose on his Twitter page wrote: “The grandfather of Corruption Family of Nigeria went to Kano today in continuation to celebrate the exploits of one of his children.

“Siblings of the Kano child in whom Baba Corruption is well pleased also came from neighbouring country to join in the celebration of corruption.”
