The Archbishop of the Methodist Church, Enugu Diocese, Most Rev. Christopher Ede, has called on Nigerians to pray over the outcome of election tribunals.
Concise News understands that the clergyman gave the charge in a state of the nation address at the end of the church 44th Synod held at Emmanuel Methodist Church, Nsukka in Enugu State.
“The 2019 general elections had come and gone. For some it is won and lost and to others it has opened a litany of litigation,” he said.
“As we await the May 29 inauguration of newly elected officers, I congratulate all those who have won and urge magnanimity and inclusiveness.
“For some who felt disappointed at the outcome of the elections in some areas, I will only admonish that St. Paul has said that no one can be in authority unless God enables him.
“Even evil leaders can be used by God for His purpose. So let us just keep praying for those in authority as is our spiritual duty as believers.”
