Super Eagles star Etebo Oghenekaro has said Nigerian players are “hungry” to play at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, Concise News reports.

This online news medium had reported that the Super Eagles were drawn in Group B of the competition with Guinea, Madagascar and Burundi.

The team will play Senegal in one of the tune-up games for the tournament.

Speaking ahead of the competition, Etebo who features for Stoke City in England, admitted that every game for the side up until the event is important.

“Every game that we are going to play from now is very important, we need to prepare the team, I believe things will go well, friendly games till the main tournament, every game is important,” he told Brila FM.

“The team is doing well, every player wants to play for his country, I believe we will get things right so we will get there.”

He noted that “We have hungry players that want to do their best and represent their country so we will get things right.”
