Unicef Speaks On Staff Safety After Boko Haram Attack In Borno

The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (Unicef) has said that its staff are safe following attack by Boko Haram in Rann, Borno State.

Rann is the headquarters of Kala Balge Local Government Area of Borno state, with the Unicef clinic affected by the attack on Saturday.

Speaking on the issue, Unicef Nigeria’s communication specialist, Kusali Kubwalo in Maiduguri, said none of its state were affected.

However, the number of persons affected by the attack is yet to be determined with those who fleed after the incident now returning home.

Borno State has been the hotbed of attacks by the insurgents with thousands killed already.
