Record-Breaking Falcons Start 2019 W/Cup Preparations January

The Super Falcons will begin their preparations for the 2019 Fifa Women’s World Cup in January when they would play a friendly game with a European side.

Nigeria, last Sunday, won the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations in Ghana after beating South Africa 4-3 on penalties.

Concise News had reported that the Thomas Dennerby-led side will represent the continent alongside runners-up South Africa and third-placed Cameroon. 

The West Africans, nine-time African queens, have taken part in all editions of the global showpiece with a quarter-final berth their best placing in 1999.

France will host the competition billed to start on 7th June with the draws for the tournament scheduled for December 8th in the European country.
