Nigeria Customs Surpasses 2018 Revenue Benchmark, Makes N1trn

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has said it made N1.1trn and seized contraband goods valued at N40bn between January and November, 2018.

This was revealed by the Public Relations Officer of the NCS, Joseph Attah on Thursday where he noted that the amount surpassed the amount made in 2017.

Attah said the figure surpassed the service’s target revenue of N770bn for the year.

He also revealed that 59 containers of Tramadol and other controlled- drugs were confiscated across the commands within the period.

According to him, 40 containers were seized in Apapa Port, 10 in Tin Can Island Port and nine in Onne Port in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
