The Super Falcons should get to the semi-final of the 2019 Women’s World Cup, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has said.
Nigeria on Saturday, won the African Women’s Cup of Nations after beating South Africa 4-3 on penalties.
And the President of the NFF, Amaju Pinnick who gave the target, also promised to provide the team a thorough preparation ahead of the competition in France.
“We’re working already and We’ve approved certain things. We’re bringing in a European team to start their [Falcons] camping Campaign in January,” Pinnick said.
“We are going to exhaust every window of opportunity for them to up their ante in terms of preparation. We’re working religiously towards that.
“We don’t just want to go the World Cup this time, we want to surpass our last quarter-finals achievement that we had ages ago.”
The nine-time African queens have played at every edition of the soccer fiesta and posted their best outing in 1999 when they reached the quarter-finals.
