The Catholic Church has lambasted the Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministry, Enugu, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, over his statements on the 2019 general elections. In a video that went viral on Monday, Mbaka was seen telling the vice presidential candidate of the PDP, Peter Obi, during the annual harvest and bazaar celebration of the church on Sunday, that neither the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, nor President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, would win the 2019 presidential election.
National Assembly workers on Tuesday protested unpaid wages and lack of due promotion. Some of the staff claim that they are being owned wages as far back as 2010. The workers also accused their superiors of diverting funds meant for training.

Boko Haram fighters have killed eight Nigerian soldiers in a military base in Yobe state, northeast Nigeria, security sources said on Tuesday. It was learned that the terrorists, who are members of the Islamic State West Africa Province faction of Boko Haram, attacked the base on Saturday in Buni Gari village.
A Presidential aspirant on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Stanley Osifo, on Tuesday challenged Atiku Abubakar’s emergence as the party’s standard bearer for the 2019 election. He described Atiku’s emergence as an imposition, threatening a court action if in the next 48 hours the PDP did not address the issue on ground.
