The Federal Government is targeting 35,000 small and medium enterprises in Jigawa State with the Trader Moni Scheme in partnership with Unity Bank.
A statement by the bank also noted that the move is in collaboration with the Jigawa State Government.
According to the statement, the scheme was launched in the state by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo with an initial sum of N300m.
It added that N1.5bn was earmarked for it and meant to help Jigawa petty traders.
According to the Regional Manager, Unity Bank in Jigawa State, Mustapha Baba, the bank was in a good position to facilitate the massive on-lending scheme to traders in the state.
