Manchester City have extended their lead at the top of the Premier League table with a 3-1 spanking of Bournemouth at the Etihad Stadium.

Bernardo Silva, Raheem Sterling and Ilkay Gundogan bagged the goals which took City to 38 points from 14 matches.

Elsewhere, Newcastle United lost 3-0 at home to West Ham, Brighton defeated Huddersfield 2-1, Leicester City overcame Watford 2-0, while Crystal Palace recorded a 2-0 win over Burnley.

And in the day’s late kick-off, Manchester United’s struggle continued as they played out a 2-2 draw with relegation-threatened Southampton.
