The founder of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) Frederick Fasehun died on Saturday at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja.
Fasehun was said to have passed away in the early hours of the day after he was admitted to the hospital, at the Intensive Care Unit, on Tuesday.
According to Fasehun’s spokesman, Adeoye Jolaosho, the octogenarian died after a brief illness.
“It is true, baba died this morning at the ICU in LASUTH, Ikeja,” Jolaosho told Punch.
The OPC founder was born in 1938 in Ondo town, Ondo state.
