Hollywood stars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have sealed an agreement on their children’s custody, according to reports in the US.
The duo was headed for a tumultuous public trial over the custody of their six children after they announced their separation in 2016, just two years after marriage.
Three out of the children are biologically theirs with the others adopted.
“A custody arrangement was agreed two weeks ago, and has been signed by both parties and the judge,” Jolie’s lawyer, Samantha Bley DeJean, said.
“The agreement, which is based on the recommendations of the child custody evaluator, eliminates the need for a trial.”
The terms of the agreement are confidential with the couple avoiding a trial set for December 4.
Pitt did not want Jolie, against her wish, to have sole custody of the children.
The duo is still finetuning the details of their divorce as assets distribution becomes a major issue. They did not have a prenuptial agreement.
