Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has ordered for the arrest of anyone selling or buying the Permanent Voter’s Card (PVCs) ahead of 2019.
Ortom gave the order on Wednesday in Makurdi while interacting with newsmen, stressing that he has informed security agencies of the development.
He warned that anyone who was found buying PVCs or selling them would be nabbed and prosecuted.
“I advise members of the public to be wary of those who will want to dispossess them of their cards under whatever guise,“ he said.
Nigeria, in 2019, would go to the polls to elected their president, governors, members of the National Assembly and State Assemblies.
