A man believed to be mentally unstable, says Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state, southeast Nigeria, will end up in prison when his tenure expires.
Concise News reports that Okorocha, a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is in his second tenure as Imo state governor.
Speaking on Okorocha’s tenure, the mentally unstable man, who described the governor as a ‘hypocrite’, lamented the state of some roads in Imo, alleging that the governor did nothing in eight years.
The mentally unstable man noted that Okorocha will be the second governor to go to prison in what appears to be a reference to Jolly Nyame, a former Taraba governor, who was jailed 14 years for fraud. The jail term was later reduced to 12 years by an Abuja division of the Court of Appeal.
In a one minute, 5 seconds video, which has gone viral, the mentally unstable man accused the governor of trying to “cover up his atrocities” by installing his successor. This online medium reports that the Imo state governor had wanted his son-in-law, Uche Nwosu to represent the APC but the party’s ticket was given to Senator Hope Uzodinma.
Narrating the situation of the state, the man said: “I am not against Rochas, now we under hold-up, Weldra road, the sun city construction company that is handling Weldra, the road has been under construction for six to seven months now, no headway, the hold-up, the erratic bottle-neck traffic gridlock that is causing in this Weldra road is something that Nigeria as a whole should be concerned about,” he said.
“Rochas is a hypocrite, eight years in office he did nothing, now he’s trying to bring in some kind of modalities so that we’ll not send him to prison. Rochas is going to prison, he wanted to bring in Ogunba to cover up his atrocities, and will still be manipulating Ogunba against us, it cannot be, it cannot be. Solidarity continues, Rochas is going to prison, the second governor that will go to prison,” he added.
