Super Eagles star Mikel Obi has said he has not retired from the team after failing to play for them since the 2018 World Cup.
Mikel has been out of the team since the competition in Russia with team manager Gernot Rohr saying that the former Chelsea man was excused for personal reasons.
Although the development has led to reports that the China-based star may have hung his boots for the West Africans, he has expressed his desire to continue playing with the side.
“I cannot retire, because l am not tired,” he said.
“I think if you have been doing something for a very long time, you will definitely ask for a little break.”
According to him, “That’s what I have been on, I have been on break. I am not tired yet. The day I will retire, I will let everyone know before I make the statement.”
