British Prime Minister Theresa May on Monday disclosed that members of parliament will hold a crucial vote on December 11 to decide the Brexit deal agreed with European Union leaders.
“I am looking ahead to December 11, when this House will be faced with the decision as to whether or not it wishes to deliver on the vote of the British people,” she told parliament.
Concise News had earlier reported that EU leaders have approved an agreement on the UK’s withdrawal and future relations, insisting it is the “best and only deal possible”.
The UK is scheduled to leave the EU on 29 March 2019.
The EU officially endorsed the terms of the UK’s withdrawal during a short meeting in Brussels in Belgium, bringing to end negotiations which began in March 2017.
