2019 Election: What Dogara Said About Atiku At 72

The speaker of the House of Representatives has paid a glowing tribute to Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as he turns 72-year-old.

In a congratulatory message he personally signed, Dogara described Atiku as an embodiment of courage and patriotism.

The speaker extolled the virtues of the Waziri of Adamawa as a charismatic, charitable and sagacious politician who has invested heavily in the service of democracy and the Nigerian project.

Dogara said Atiku is an ideal leader Nigeria yearns for at the moment, considering his vast experience, cosmopolitan disposition and pedigree, expressing confidence that his emergence as PDP Presidential candidate is a harbinger for a better tomorrow.

His words: “You are indeed a democratic icon and philanthropist par excellence with remarkable dexterity and uncommon sagacity, courage and capacity who is well prepared and poised to take Nigeria out of the woods’.

“Over the years, you have proven and distinguished yourself as a true democrat and an icon with sound democratic credentials who inspires hope in the hopeless.

“You are indeed a role model, who mentors and inspires young and upcoming leaders as well as provide opportunities for the youths through the establishment of schools, cottage industries and other manufacturing concerns across the country and there is no better way of proving your belief and conviction in the Nigerian nation than this.

“As you mark your 72nd Birthday, this is to wish Your Excellency God’s guidance, protection and sound health to continue rendering invaluable services to the nation and humanity.”
