The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Simon Achuba, has dismissed reports that he planning to leave the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Sylvester Akor, debunked this while speaking to Daily Post on Thursday.
Akor described the rumour of his principal’s defection to another party as wicked.
He said: “My boss, Elder Simon Achuba is still a loyal member of the APC and has no plan to decamp, as is been thought by those who do not mean well for the state that he has dumped the APC.”
The Kogi State Deputy Governor has had a running battle with his boss, Governor Yahaya Bello with many alleging that the relationship was no longer cordial.
It was gathered that the embattled Deputy Governor is hardly seen in a public function as it was alleged that, he is no longer in the good book of the Governor.
