Former Presidential New Media aide Reno Omokri has condemned Governor Ibrahim Shettima of Borno State for attacking former President Goodluck Jonathan over the kidnapped Chibok girls.
Shettima had accused Jonathan of writing an elementary book of tales, saying he deliberately omitted facts about the abduction of Chibok girls in his book titled “My Transition Hours”
In a statement on Wednesday by his Media Adviser, Isa Gusau, Shettima said the former president attempted to sweep under the carpet a report submitted to him by an investigative committee in June 2014 about the abduction of April 2014.
Reacting in series of post on his Twitter page, Omokri wrote: “Each time Borno Governor Shettima is asked to explain why he deliberately ignored both FG and WAEC instructions to keep school children in affected locations out of harm’s way by relocating them to safer areas for WAEC exams, he cleverly avoids the question.
“Governor Shettima of Borno keeps foaming in the mouth about the General Ibrahim Sabo-led fact-finding committee set up by President Jonathan which report was also made available to the governor.
“Governor Shettima was advised IN WRITING by the Jonathan FG to relocate #ChibokGirls to Maiduguri.
“HE REFUSED. He should please[SIC] any document he has that absolved him of indiscretion or gave him credit for his actions on the Chibok school girls saga.”
