Biafra: Why I Don't Want To Be In Nigeria -  Nnamdi Kanu
IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

The self-acclaimed leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, says he does not want to be in Nigeria because journalists in the country don’t speak the truth.

Kanu, who resurfaced in Jerusalem, Israel on October 19 after the military invasion of his community in Abia state, made this allegation during a live broadcast via radio Biafra on Saturday.

The pro-Biafra activist and director of radio Biafra recalled how his group clashed with officers of the Nigerian Army in 2017, a clash the IPOB leader said led to the death of some of his men, his cousin and his dog.
Speaking on the development, Kanu, who described Nigerian journalists as “congenital liars”, alleged that journalists are already celebrating in Nigeria over the possibility of him dying.

On the invasion of his community, the IPOB leader said: “They came to my house to kill me, they killed my men, killed my cousin, killed my dog, they said it was a clash, alleged. They saw dead bodies on the ground journalists in Nigeria said alleged… alleged.

“Do you see why I don’t want to be in Nigeria? I cannot dwell nor stay in the same country with congenital liars.

“If a journalist or a judge cannot speak the truth then what is hope? What is left for the masses? Where is the hope going to come from?

Journalists, some of them are celebrating, they want me dead but unfortunately, I am in Israel unkillable, they can’t.

They don’t like the fact that I am the person raising this very issue,” the IPOB leader said in a live broadcast via radio Biafra.
