Liverpool star defender Virgil Van Dijk has attacked Cristiano Ronaldo and other Real Madrid stars over their Champions League final 3-1 defeat.
He accused Ronaldo, Marcelo and Karim Benzema of ganging up against young defender, Trent Alexandre-Arnold.
The Reds lost to Madrid in the final in Ukraine, with star attacker Mohammed Salah exiting the game early with a shoulder injury.
Liverpool fans and players believed the final could have had a different outcome had Salah remained on the pitch.
“Mentally, something changed for Real Madrid once Salah left the pitch,” Van Dijk told De Telegraaf.
“Suddenly, Marcelo, Benzema, and Ronaldo all ganged up against our young right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold and left the whole right flank free.
“With Salah, they would not have dared.”
