Babaganaru managed Yobe Desert Stars last season but his one-year contract was not renewed following the club’s poor showing in the NPFL.

He was replaced by Ngozi Elechi who penned a two-year deal with Yobe Desert Stars last week.

The well experienced Babaganaru has managed clubs like Kano Pillars, Nasarawa United and Wikki Tourists.

Under Amapakabo, the Maiduguri side struggled to make an impact in the NPFL and make it to the last 16 of the Aiteo Federation Cup.

The 2018/2019 NPFL season will kick-off on December 1st.
