Wayne Rooney made his final international appearance for England on Thursday as the Three Lions dispatched the United States 3-0 at Wembley.
It was the 120th time Rooney played for England, and it was a night the team showed their appreciation for their 33-year-old record goalscorer.
Gareth Southgate’s side were 2-0 up before Rooney came on in the second half.
Jesse Lingard opened the scoring with a delightful effort, and Trent Alexander-Arnold netted registered his first international goal.
The win puts England in a good position for Sunday’s Uefa Nations League game with Croatia at Wembley.
