Tottenham Defender Kieran Trippier has withdrawn from the England squad for this month’s matches against the USA and Croatia.
The right-back suffered a groin injury during Tottenham’s 1-0 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Trippier arrived at St George’s Park on Monday and was assessed during the last 24 hours.
However, it was decided it would be best if he returned to Spurs for rehabilitation rather than remain with the England squad.
Trippier has 16 England caps and was a key member of the side that memorably reached the World Cup semi-finals in the summer.
