Senator Ben Murray-Bruce (PDP-Bayelsa East) on Sunday Condemned the alleged harassment of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as he returned to the country from Dubai.
Concise News had reported that security agents allegedly searched the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on arrival from Dubai.
In a post on his Twitter handle, Murray-Bruce lambasted the federal government, stressing that Nigeria is not a fascist state.
He wrote: “I totally condemn this reckless harassment of Atiku the candidate of the PDP as he landed in Abuja.
“Nigeria is not a fascist state. We will not return to a jackboot dictatorship.
“This government should face Atiku at the polls, not with force.”
