Former Enyimba striker Mfon Udoh has rejoined his hometown club Akwa United as the Promise Keepers intensify preparation for the 2018/2019 Nigeria Professional Football League season.
Udoh left seven-time Nigerian champions Enyimba as a free agent after spending five seasons with the Aba-based club.
Concise News understands that the NPFL record scorer with 23 goals has already started training with the two-time Federation Cup winners, who recently hired former Ifeanyiubah hwad coach Rafael Everton as their gaffer.
“It is mutually agreed that the above player of the club is released to play for any club of his choice,” the club said in a statement.
“Both parties are absolved of all financial encumbrances and obligations. The Nigerian Football Federation and the League Management Company are both by a copy of this letter duly notified.”
