The National Leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has backed the National Chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole.
Concise News had reported that Oshiomhole was on Sunday and Monday quizzed for nine hours over allegations that he collected bribes during the conduct of the party’s primaries across Nigeria.
It was gathered that Governors Ibikunle Amosun and Rochas Okorocha are behind his ordeal with the DSS.
Various party chieftains across the country have constantly called for the resignation of the former Edo State governor over the conduct of the primaries.
When asked by reporters if he supports the call for the removal of the embattled chairman, Tinubu said, “No.”
Speaking further, he said: “We all have to respect the party supremacy. When we had the congress we elected a new executive.
“And we surrendered our rights to the committee, that the national working committee would set up electoral bodies to supervise state congresses and elections.
“So, if it is not in an individual favour, so be it.”
