Shehu Sani Speaks On NLNG Subsidy Fund

Senator Shehu Sani has called for a thorough investigation into the alleged $1.05bn diverted from the Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas dividend for the subsidy.

Concise News reported that the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) took the fund without the approval of the National Assembly.

The Senate had also set up a committee to probe the alleged diversion of the funds which the NNPC had denied.

Speaking on the development, Sani tweeted that “The recent revelations regarding the NLNG Billions must be thoroughly investigated.

“The issues are weighty and must not be swept under the carpet with a Broom. Integrity is not a perpetual appellation, but a moral recognition that is earned & proven in every step of its challenge.”
