Milan Pavkov scored twice in seven first-half minutes to hand Red Star their first Champions League victory in 26 years.

Daniel Sturridge missed a gilt-edged chance to fire the visitors into an early lead and Andrew Robertson and Mohamed Salah saw efforts strike in woodwork in the second half, but Pavkov’s brace sealed Red Star their first win of the campaign, and first ever in the Champions League proper.
