The Super Eagles should book a place at the 2019 African Cup when they take on South Africa in a qualification game for the competition next week, according to ex-international Mutiu Adepoju.
Nigeria are leaders of the Group E qualification race to Cameroon with nine points from four games as against South Africa’s eight from the same number of matches.
A draw for the Gernot Rohr’s side will see them book a place at the tournament after missing out in the last two editions.
The Super Eagles had, in June 2017, lost the first leg of the clash 2-0.
Speaking ahead of the tie with the Bafana Bafana on November 17, Adepoju described it as a “personal battle.”
He told Brila FM that “They (Super Eagles) should simply get a win to end the qualification target even before the final home game against Seychelles.”
