Manchester City have returned to the Premier League summit after thumping Southampton 6-1 on Sunday at the Etihad Stadium.
Southampton’s Wesley Hoedt put City ahead when he scored an own goal while attempting to clear Leroy Sane’s cross.
Sergio Aguero later doubled the lead, before David Silva fired home their third from Sane’s flick-on.
The Saints, however, pulled one back through Danny Ings from the spot after Ederson brought him down in the area.
England international Sterling then scored either side of the break to complete a brilliant performance, while Sane netted a late sixth to round off a perfect day for the Citizens.
